How it works

Ranking, with the reasons attached.

Every match tells you why it surfaced. No black box, no score you have to take on faith — if the reason doesn't hold up, you skip it and move on.

Scored shortlists

Collaborative filtering over the co-investment graph, plus text similarity between your company and how a fund describes its own thesis. Two independent signals, one ranking.

Evidence on every match

Shared co-investors, sector overlap, stage fit, region and typical check size — shown as the actual reason a fund ranked where it did.

Funding history by round

Rounds deduplicated and attributed, each linked to the investors that participated — so you can trace who actually backed a company and when.

Terms and geography

Stated check sizes, stage focus and lead-or-follow behaviour where funds publish them, with regional activity across nine global markets.

How well it works

We measured it. Here's the number.

Most platforms in this category don't publish an accuracy figure. Ours is below — measured over 228 held-out companies against 29,877 candidate investors.

Why the ceiling is structural. Public records show who received money — never who was turned down. Without rejections there is no way to learn what a fund declines, and no amount of tuning fixes that. Use FundFit to cut thousands of investors down to a shortlist worth researching, not to predict who will say yes.
1.4×
Better than simply listing the busiest funds. Median rank of the true investor improves from 19,124 to 13,890.
<1%
Fewer than 1 in 100 held-out investors land inside the top 100. This is a filter, not an oracle.

Held-out company–investor pairs in the evaluation, scored against 29,877 candidates.

The data

Coverage, stated plainly.

Assembled from public funding records. Not every field is filled for every record — here is what is actually populated, so you know where the gaps are before you rely on it.

Sector and region labels sit lower because they are inferred from text rather than reported. Bars in grey are the fields we would not lean on without checking.
